This presentation focuses on identifying clinically significant cracks in teeth and understanding their impact on oral health. It explores which types of cracks require immediate intervention and the potential consequences of both treating and ignoring them. The discussion covers different anatomical crack types and their influence on treatment decisions, along with the “fulcrum effect,” where concentrated forces near the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) increase the risk of molar fractures. Prevalence and evidence-based treatment strategies are also reviewed to support effective clinical management.
