Meet Dr Yasmin Maza

Dr Yasmin Maza, a dentist and prosthodontist from Venezuela, underwent a transformative shift in her practice through the adoption of Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry principles. She earned her Master’s degree in orofacial pain, specialising in bruxism, and has received training from renowned experts like Dr Paulo Kano and Dr Pascal Magne. Dr Maza further honed her skills through a four-year diploma in oral and prosthetic rehabilitation at NYU and continued her education with a diploma at Diego Portales University in Chile. She completed the Biomimetic Mastership training at the Alleman Center of Biomimetic Dentistry and further enhanced her expertise through a mastership programme with Dr Simone Deliperi. Additionally, she played a pivotal role as a lecturer and coordinator in organising the first International Congress of Biomimetic Dentistry in Venezuela. Dr Yasmin Maza has contributed the first series of Spanish-speaking lectures on The Hybrid Layer, which she hopes will help to introduce many Dentists around the world to Biomimetic Dentistry.

La Dra. Yasmin Maza, odontóloga y prostodoncista venezolana, experimentó un cambio transformador en su práctica mediante la adopción de los principios de la Odontología Restauradora Biomimética. Obtuvo un máster en Investigación, especializado en bruxismo, y ha recibido formación de expertos de renombre como el Dr. Paulo Kano y el Dr. Pascal Magne. La Dra. Maza perfeccionó sus conocimientos con un diplomado de cuatro años en rehabilitación oral y protésica en la Universidad de Nueva York y continuó su formación con un diplomado en la Universidad Diego Portales de Chile en Odontología restauradora adhesiva estructural. Completó la formación de Maestría en Biomimética en el Centro Alleman en Utah, y perfeccionó sus conocimientos a través de un programa de maestría con el Dr. Simone Deliperi. Además, desempeñó un papel fundamental como conferencista y coordinadora en la organización del primer Congreso Internacional de Odontología Biomimética en Venezuela. La Dra. Yasmin Maza ha contribuido con la primera serie de conferencias en español en TheHybridLayer, que espera ayude a introducir a muchos odontólogos en todo el mundo a la Odontología Biomimética.

Dr Yasmin Maza has created the first-ever Spanish speaking Biomimetic lecture content featured on The Hybrid Layer. Her goal is to introduce Spanish speaking dentists around the world to the fundamentals of Biomimetic Dentistry.
